The first affected function is respiratory insufficiency in those patients who get bedridden, mainly due to neurological conditions like brain stroke, injury, spinal cord injury. These conditions either affects respiratory muscles or muscles of innervations. Based on o2 saturation levels, the patient will be kept on oxygen therapy as required. Those who are on tracheostomy, our therapists makes sure that, the chest will be clear of secretions through chest physio, postural drainage techniques, improves lung capacities through spirometry exercises. Trains huffing and coughing tachniques, deep breathing exercises, respiratory muscle strengthening to enhance lung capacities and improve respiratory function.
